Tesla Energy Independence Celebration 2010

at

Independence Hall

For July 9th, we will be running between 6pm to 2 am. We will be having the PsiTrance Rave music starting later in the day. We should have it toward Arch Street on the park (see map). Special lighting effects with a Tesla tower sculpture put up near the dance event for Friday. On the Market Street side of the park on Friday, we will be having the Tesla coil competition later in the day as in the same general area as the music stage will be on July 10th. The coil competition will be in a roped off area for safety with a grounding line for coils and generators. The Tesla coil demonstrations will run until 11:30 pm when we will gather everyone for the midnight Tesla coil fire-off to celebrate Nikola Tesla's B-day.

For  July 10th, below is a rough map that sketched out the location of the events. Most events will be closer to market street for logistics reasons to unload and load equipment. The policy for all exhibitors is to that they are responsible to watch over their exhibitor tables and materials at all times. Setup will be around 8 am and the Saturday events will start around 10 am and  the ending time is set for 8 pm.

For the Saturday event, we will be having music throughout the day. On the other side of the park, we will have an area outside of the tents set aside for open lawn space for discussions of social and spiritual related topics to energy technology and sustainability. On the edge of the Market Street side of the event, we will also be having the EEVC(Eastern Electric Vehicle Club) displaying their member's modified electric cars and also the Tesla Roadster will be displayed.

On the walkway toward the main events, tents can be set up for the main exhibitors.
